Membership Questions

When I sign up for INDYCAR Nation, how long does my membership last?

• Your free INDYCAR Nation membership will last indefinitely unless you choose to unsubscribe or opt-out, which you may do at any time.
• You can upgrade to INDYCAR Nation Champion level at any time.

When I join INDYCAR Nation CHAMPION, how long does my membership last?

• Your INDYCAR Nation Champion membership will last for one year from the date that you registered and paid.
• If you used INDY Downforce points to renew prior to Jan. 1, 2011, your Champion membership will apply through that renewal date.

How much is the INDYCAR Nation Champion membership?

• The new annual membership fee is $34.95.
• You cannot use old INDY Downforce points to renew your membership.
• If you used INDY Downforce points to renew prior to Jan. 1, 2011, your Champion membership will apply through that renewal date

I used to be an INDY Downforce member. What has happened to my points?

• The INDY Downforce fan club format has changed so that we can offer more variety to all types of fans. Many perks, like pre-race parties and special events, will stay the same and even get better!
• The old INDY Downforce point system and redeemable offers no longer apply.
• You cannot use old INDY Downforce points to renew your membership.
• Your old INDY Downforce membership card does not apply for discounts or access.

I used to be considered CREW level. What has happened to this status?

• We appreciate and thank our loyal fan club members who have been involved for many years. From time to time, there may be events planned for former CREW level members and Lifetime members. The old INDY Downforce point system and special levels within that system no longer apply.

I am considered a LIFETIME member through past fan clubs or INDY Downforce offers. What is my membership status now?

• As a LIFETIME member, you are automatically an INDYCAR Nation Champion member and will never need to renew your membership.

Can my son or daughter join INDYCAR Nation if he/she is under the age of 13?

• No, INDYCAR Nation is only open to persons 13 years and older.
• Our friends at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway offer something for children called the Indianapolis Motor Speedway KIDS CLUB. We'll be planning events together throughout the year.

I live outside of the United States. Can I join INDYCAR Nation?

• INDYCAR Nation is open to anyone 13 years and older, inside or outside of the U.S.
• INDYCAR Nation Champion is open to anyone 13 years and older, inside or outside of the U.S. However, a membership kit will not be sent to those outside of North America.

I joined INDYCAR Nation Champion and have not received my membership kit. What should I do?

• Email indycarnation@indycar.com with your name, address and when you signed up, stating you've not received your kit.
• A membership kit will not be sent to those outside of North America.
• Due to shipments of inventory out of our control, it may take 4-6 weeks for you receive your member kit.

I received my Champion membership card with my membership kit. What do I need this for?

• You will need to show your card to receive 10% off the IZOD IndyCar Series merchandise tent at race events.
• From time to time, you will need to show your Champion card for special access at the race track or other partner venues. We’ll make sure you know when you need you card, but have it with you at all race events.
• You do not have a membership number on this card. This is not needed for tracking purposes.

I lost my Champion membership card. How can I get a new one?

• Email indycarnation@indycar.com with your name and address, stating you’ve lost your card.

What types of member events will be planned and how do I participate?

What types of at-track experiences will be offered and how do I participate?

• From time to time, INDYCAR Nation will offer special at-track experiences like pace car rides, 2-seater rides, simulator rides and more.

Do I get a receipt?

• Yes. If you sign up online you will receive an e-mail confirmation that you can print.

Are there refunds?

• All sales and membership subscriptions are final.

What happens when my membership expires?

• Membership will be discontinued automatically at the end of the subscription term.
• No automatic payments will be made against your account for renewal.

Who do I contact with billing questions and issues?

• Send an email to indycarnation@indycar.com with your username, payment amount, transaction date, and the last 4 digits of the credit card. Payment corrections take 5-15 days to process back to your account.

What type of cards will be accepted?

INDYCAR “RACE TO VEGAS” SWEEPSTAKES
OFFICIAL RULES
NO PURCHASE OR ADMISSION FEE NECESSARY

1.  HERE’S HOW IT WORKS:  The INDYCAR “Race to Vegas” Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) will be presented at twelve (12) IZOD INDYCAR® Series Races in the United States and Canada only beginning on 3/27/11 and ending on 9/4/11 (excluding the 7/24/11 race in Edmonton, Canada).  Visit www.indycar.com for the race schedule, including dates and locations.  At a participating race, visit the Fan Village and register for a Fan Village Card (there is no fee to register for a Fan Village Card or to enter the Fan Village).  Then, visit all of the Sponsor booths located in the Fan Village and swipe your Fan Village Card at each booth.  After you have swiped your Fan Village Card at all of the Sponsor booths, you will automatically receive one Sweepstakes entry.  Entries must be received during the posted operating hours of the Fan Village.  Limit one entry per Fan Village Card account per race.  No purchase or race grounds admission necessary.  On a plain piece of 3”x5” paper hand print your first and last name, street address (no P.O. Boxes – U.S. residents only), city, state/province, zip/postal code, date of birth (mm/dd/yyyy), e-mail address (optional) plus daytime and evening telephone numbers including area code.  Mail your entry in an envelope no larger than #10 (business-size envelope) with sufficient postage affixed, to:  INDYCAR “Race to Vegas” Sweepstakes Entries, P.O. Box 5655, Blair, NE  68009-5655, USA.  IMPORTANT:  You must indicate the participating Race Location and Date for which you are entering on the lower left-hand corner of the outer-mailing envelope.  Limit one entry per outer-mailing envelope.  Mailed entries must be received by 9/9/11.  No mechanically reproduced entries permitted.  Not responsible for lost, late, illegible, mutilated, misdirected, postage-due entries or entries not received in time for the random drawing.

2.  ELIGIBILITY:  This promotion is open only to  residents of the 50 United States, the District of Columbia and Canada (excluding Quebec) who are 18 years of age or older as of date of entry.  Employees of Indy Racing League, LLC and any of their respective affiliates or subsidiaries, or advertising and promotion agencies or suppliers involved in this promotion and the immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of each are not eligible.  All federal, state, municipal, provincial and local laws and regulations apply.  Void in Quebec and where prohibited by law.

3.  RANDOM DRAWING:  A random drawing will be conducted on or about 9/12/11 from among all eligible entries received.  Random drawing will be conducted by D.L. Blair, Inc., an independent judging organization whose decisions are final on all matters relating to this offer.  Odds of winning will depend upon the total number of eligible entries received.

If potential Grand Prize winner entered via Fan Village Card, he/she will be notified via email and will be required to respond and provide his/her complete name, street address, city, state/province, zip/postal code, date of birth, email address and phone number within 72 hours of attempted notification.  Failure to comply will result in disqualification without further notice and an alternate winner will be selected, time permitting.  Potential Grand Prize winner will then be required to complete and return required documents as detailed in Rule #5.  If potential Grand Prize winner entered via mail, he/she will be notified via overnight delivery and will be required to complete and return required documents as detailed in Rule #5.

4.  PRIZE: (1) Grand Prize – A 4-day/3-night trip for winner and guest to attend the IZOD INDYCAR World Championships in Las Vegas, Nevada on October 16, 2011.  Prize includes round-trip coach air transportation from major airport nearest winner’s home (departing Oct. 13, 2011, returning Oct. 16, 2011), 3-nights hotel accommodations (one room, double occupancy), tickets to practice, Qualifications Day and Race Day, Pit Passes for the entire race weekend, Pre-Race access, Hospitality Passes, a VIP tour around Las Vegas Motor Speedway and a two-seater ride for winner and guest in a specially-designed two-seater IndyCar Series car.  Winner and guest must possess valid, government-issued photo identification, sign required forms (including consent and liability waivers) and be at least 18 years of age for the Pit Pass, Pre-Race access, and two-seater ride portions of the prize.  In addition, winner and guest must possess a valid government-issued driver's license and meet the physical restrictions (which include, without limitation, being no taller than 6'5" and weighing no more than 250 lbs.) for the two-seater portion of the prize.  If winner/guest does not meet restrictions/sign required forms, those portions of the prize that require it will be forfeited and winner will relinquish all rights to those portions of the prize.  Approximate Retail Value: $3,800 (U.S. Dollars).  Actual value of trip will depend upon winner’s point of departure.  If the winner lives within a 300 mile radius of Las Vegas, winner will receive $250 travel stipend in lieu of air transportation.  Winner and guest are solely responsible for all other expenses not specifically set forth herein, including but not limited to meals, additional transportation, upgraded room accommodations, souvenirs and other incidentals and items of a personal nature.  Winner and guest must travel on same itinerary.  In the event the Race is cancelled or postponed for any reason, Sponsor will have no obligation to award compensation in lieu thereof but the remainder of the trip will be awarded.  Prize consists of only those items specifically listed as part of the prize

5.  GENERAL RULES:  If potential Grand Prize winner is a U.S. resident, winner (or parent/legal guardian if potential winner is deemed a minor in his/her state of residence) will be required to complete and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Release of Liability, Prize Acceptance Form and, if legally permissible, a Publicity Release within 3 days of attempted delivery of same.  Noncompliance within this time period or return of any prize/prize notification as undeliverable will result in disqualification without further notice and an alternate winner may be selected, time permitting.  To be declared a winner, residents of Canada (or parent/legal guardian if potential winner is deemed a minor in his/her province or territory of residence) must correctly answer an arithmetical skill-testing question and execute a Declaration and Release Form to release Indy Racing League, LLC and its agencies and representatives from liability with respect to contests and prizes within 3 days of attempted delivery of same.  Noncompliance within this time period or return of any prize/prize notification as undeliverable will result in disqualification without further notice and an alternate winner may be selected, time permitting.  Winner will be notified by phone/mail.  Traveling companion (or parent/legal guardian if traveling companion is a minor) must also complete and return a Release of Liability within 3 days of winner’s attempted notification. If winner is a minor, winner’s parent/legal guardian will be required to accompany winner on trip/to race and will count as the winner’s guest.  If a minor is selected as a traveling companion, winner must be his/her parent/legal guardian. All travelers must possess required travel documents (e.g., valid photo ID, passport) prior to departure.  All travelers must agree to depart and return on dates specified by the Sponsor; dates of departure and return are subject to change.  No substitution or transfer of prize by winner permitted.  Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prize of equal or greater value.  All taxes and fees and/or duties, if applicable, are the sole responsibility of winner.  In no event will more than the stated number of prizes be awarded.  If an entrant submits more than the stated number of entries permitted, and/or if the Sponsor suspects that an entrant attempted to obtain additional entries by using multiple Fan Village Cards, identities or any other method, all entries submitted by the entrant may be declared null and void.  By accepting prize, winner (and winner’s parent/legal guardian if winner is a minor) agrees to hold Sponsor, its directors, officers, employees and assigns, harmless against any and all claims and liability arising out of use of prize.  Winner (and winner’s parent/legal guardian if winner is a minor) assumes all liability for any injury or damage caused, or claimed to be caused, by participation in this promotion or use or redemption of any prize.  Acceptance of prize constitutes permission for the Sponsor and its agencies to use winner's name and/or likeness for purposes of advertising and trade without further compensation, including a winners list, unless prohibited by law.  Entrants (or parent/legal guardian if entrant is a minor) agree to release, discharge and hold harmless Sponsor, its directors, officers, employees and assigns from and against any and all liability and damages.  By participating in this promotion, entrants (or parent/legal guardian if entrant is a minor) agree to be bound by the Official Rules and the judges’ decisions which are final.  In the event there is a discrepancy or inconsistency between disclosures or other statements contained in any sweepstakes materials and the terms and conditions of theOfficial Rules, the Official Rules shall prevail, govern and control.  All material submitted becomes the sole property of Sponsor and will not be returned.  Sponsor not responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing of the offer, administration of the sweepstakes or in the announcement of the prize.
